metaphor on a leash

Listen as Greg tells the story.

a guy where we live

rescued a little dog

who had been abused and blinded

and caged

for 7 years

i saw him and his rescued dog one morning

this same compassionate man

has another dog about the same size

who is not blind

and that little dog

leads the other one

it strikes me how this is how the Holy Spirit moves and leads

i am so taken by that metaphor—it knocks me out

Holy Spirit

today, i almost want to lower-case Your name

to honor Your desire to work in humility

behind the scenes

as You rescue us

and guide us

through the maze of our days

we are so often blinded

by so many incendiary injuries

of our own making

and we are blind to the

blindness of others in our path

and to the captivity of others

and their aloneness

two are better than one says the proverb

because if one falls

the other can help him up

this is how it works

a metaphor on a leash

-----------------------------------

God, as we navigate the rush and the crush and the pace and the chase of this season, help us be alert to Your Whisper—to see and hear the needs and stories of the people around us, and take a moment to offer an encouraging word and a listening heart.

God, may we also have moments of transcendent peace

and holy stillness

as we breathe and believe

with quiet trust in You.

May it be so...

Merry Christmas, friends...

Immanuel—God is with you...

With much love, Greg and Corinne

Immense gratitude to Mark and Miriam Volle for Creative Partnering and Profound Support.

We offer all we create to Jesus—for His purposes.

We dedicate our ministry to our parents, who were our dearest friends and encouragers:

Al and Lorraine Karpiak, Bob and Pat Ferguson. And to our niece, Carolyn.

Carolyn is one of the most loving and courageous people you'll ever meet. She's been battling chronic illness for decades. Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Chemical Sensitivity, Chronic Intractable Migraine, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. POTS, Chiari Malformation and other debilitating conditions. There's an urgent need  for more doctors who are aware and trained to treat these conditions.
